About the Musicians

I’ve been blessed to have met and recorded with many fine musicians.  On these three songs, you’ll hear the angelic voice of Reggie Harrison, a fine singer indeed, she has added a great depth to many of my songs.  One of the finest bass players in Michigan, Rich K, played quite a few different bass guitars on these songs.  From acoustic upright bass, to fretless 6-string bass (check out the exceptional fretless work on “Beautiful Soul”).  Dennis Sheridan added his unique organic percussion sound to these songs with tabla drums, and a variety of hand percussion instruments.  Dennis and I have worked on plenty of recordings together, and these three tunes show his ability to enhance a song sometimes with the most simple additions.  Finally, long-time collaborator Paul Johannes, added saxophones and flute.  Note how effortlessly the flute comes in on “Song of Joy”; and listen to the instrumental section of “Beautiful Soul” where his soprano saxophone weaves through the sound with precision and grace.
