Subject: Hi Guy!
Hey Guy,
This is Colin Murphy, native of Northern Michigan, and a loyal follower of the Chautauqua Express. You came to, I believe my elementary school, at least ten years ago. My family came out to see you at the Cheboygan Opera House that evening, where you asked my little sister and I up on stage. I wound up singing the solo of "Johnny B. Goode" while you played the guitar for me. And the same thing again at the Rogers City Park, when you did an outside concert in the band shell a few months after that.
I've remembered that experience ever since and I wanted to tell you it was a great time.
I just came across your CD I have in my collection, "Discover Your Dreams" - signed by the great artist himself - you! I just wanted to say hello and see how you're doing, and tell you I had a great time being part of your performances. I'm 22 now and I'm in Grad School studying for my MBA. My little sister is now in high school, though she was only assigned the bell to shake at the Opera House because she couldn't have been more than three or four years old at the time!
I see the pictures on your site - looks a little different from the long hair you had back in the day - the one pic I see on there reminds me of Ringo Starr, good stuff!
So I hope all is well for you, and maybe you'll be back around Northern Michigan sometime soon!
Colin T. Murphy
